A question of Values and The Story of Bottled Water (2010)
This is a great tool for teaching about the environment and how we are all, as consumers, placed in a loop of information that is constructed by the companies around us.
The article in Education Week, A Question of Values by Jim Haas, points to a kind of consumer information input constantly coming at our children. The question is are we, as a society, able to provide an education that will allow for the critical engagement skills that will both benefit individuals and society? The vary speed at which the global information systems are expanding and creating requires that we educate for a rich, critical, and emotionally balanced citizen.
